Teror
Suddenly and about 650 meters above sea level, we meet every Sunday a village full of life, lots of people wanting to have fun. We speak of Teror, religious capital of Gran Canaria and pilgrimage center known as: The jewel of the north, Teror invites us to stroll through its narrow streets and enjoy its balconies. Visit the basilica and see the Patroness of Gran Canaria, La Virgen del Pino. Around the church, in the village square, is one of the most popular markets of the Canary Islands, local specialties such as chorizo de Teror, sweet sausages, cheeses, Canarian wines and sweets from Teror's cistercians and many others, will delight the visitor.
