We head up through Tamaraceite into the island’s middle-heights area (600–1,500 m), a green region full of crops and rural landscapes that contrast with the south. This fertile zone, shaped by agriculture and livestock, will accompany us on our way to the charming towns of Teror and San Mateo, both home to traditional Sunday markets. In Teror, you’ll discover a beautifully preserved historic center, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine, and elegant Canary-style manor houses. Its lively market blends local products, crafts, clothing, and souvenirs, perfect for strolling and shopping. We then continue to Vega de San Mateo, a town with deep agricultural roots.
