Historical Significance: The St Kitts Scenic Railway tour is a narrow gauge railway that was originally built in the early 20th century to transport sugarcane from the island's plantation to the sugar factory. Scenic Route: The train follows a 30-mile circular radius around the island providing passengers with picturesque villages, stunning views of lush rainforests, views of urban and rural areas, lush landscaping of farming, and the different livestock that seem to freely roam the island. Double decks: The train provides two levels. The upper-level has open-air seating and the bottom with air-conditioning. This tour includes the main points of interest, such as National Museum, Berkeley Memorial, Independence Square, old historical churches on the island, The Egrets Birds Nest, Bloody Point, Wingfield Plantation as well as the beginning of the rainforest, the Botanical Gardens at Romney Manor home of Caribelle Batik. We continue on to Black Rocks this is where the volcanic lava flowed and formed rock formations on the island's coastline. We proceed to the beginning of the Southern Peninsula atop Timothy hill where there is a beautiful Panoramic view of both the Atlantic ocean as well as the caribbean sea adjacent to each other, from this point we return to Port Zante.
