The name Paklenica probably derives from black pine sap called “paklina”, which the locals used in traditional medicine, for wound treatment, for light and for coating of wooden boats.

Discover the Paklenica National Park on a private hike from Zadar for 1 to 4 guests. After pickup, you will drive in a air-conditioned private vehicle to Starigrad-Paklenica and hike through the impressive Velika-Paklenica Gorge. On the approximately 6-kilometer route, you will experience high rock walls, clear mountain air, and the quiet nature of the Velebit Mountains. The hike takes approximately 3 to 4 hours with breaks and is adapted to your pace. On the way, there is time for photos as well as a coffee or refreshment break by the river. Admission, private transport, and personal escort are included. Sturdy shoes are recommended. The tour is suitable for active couples, families, and small private groups with average fitness.
