During this roundt trip of Kvaløya island, we take care of the full package: pictures of you and the landscape, local pastries, hot beverages, a knowledgeable guide and a driver that will show you the most beautiful spots in the area. We will stop at Ersfjordbotn and Sommarøy to show you as much as possible during the tour. These breaks are also an excellent opportunity for spotting wildlife, like reindeer and sea eagles. Please note that animal sighting is never guaranteed. To keep you warm and comfortable while outside, we provide thermal suits and boots. Cette route panoramique vous mènera vers des villages de pêcheurs et des zones naturelles sauvages sur l'île de Kvaløya, le long des fjords et plus loin vers une vue dégagée sur la mer. Le roadtrip offre également une possibilité infinie d'apercevoir des animaux arctiques. Regardez autour de vous, car souvent les rennes se cachent même entre les maisons. Des élans, des aigles de mer, des phoques et des loutres vivent juste à côté des routes, si vous savez où les chercher. Your local guide will lead you through Tromsø's wilderness to the very best photo stops, sharing fascinating stories about the local history and culture that make this destination so memorable. To provide a personal experience, we aim to travel in small groups of 8-15 guests by minibus. However, please note that during the peak high-season, we may occasionally run with two groups together on a comfortable, larger coach to accommodate demand.

You’ll set off on a scenic drive westward, crossing the bridge that connects Tromsø to the island of Kvaløya. As you travel, you’ll cross three fjords and pass through the valley of Kattfjordeidet. You’ll make short stops to take photos, breathe in the fresh Arctic air, and immerse yourself in nature. Keep your eyes open—you might spot reindeer or other wildlife roaming freely across the landscape. In Sommarøy, known as “the Summer Island,” you’ll relax and enjoy a warm two-course lunch (soup, dessert with tea & coffee) while enjoying stunning coastal views. On your return journey, you’ll drive along the southeast coast of Kvaløya, where you can admire the beautiful vistas of the Sund and the Malangen mountains. You can join this experience whether you use a wheelchair, have reduced mobility, or live with visual, hearing, or neurodivergent conditions. Every tour is designed to make you feel comfortable and included from start to finish.
