We will board the minivan and depart towards the Castel del Monte where we will meet a local tourist guide who will lead us to the discovery of the octagonal castle, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Wanted by Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Sicily, the fortress offers numerous pearls of history, mysteries and symbols. Its octagonal shape, which makes it unique in its kind, is emblematic of its symbolism. The octagon embodies the union of two geometric shapes, the circle and the square, one symbolizing the heaven and the other the earth.
You will hear the history and the fascinating life of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia and his wives.
