Ponte da Misarela is a famous bridge located in the Peneda-Gerês National Park in northern Portugal. It is a picturesque stone bridge that spans the Rabagão River. Peneda-Gerês National Park is the only national park in Portugal and is located in the northwest part of the country, in the Minho region. It was established in 1971 and covers an area of approximately 702 square kilometers. The park is characterized by its stunning natural landscapes, including mountains, valleys, rivers, and forests. It is known for its rich biodiversity, being home to numerous species of flora and fauna, some of which are endemic to the region. The diverse ecosystems found in the park range from oak and pine forests to high-altitude moorlands. Visitor will experience some hiking trails , including an ancient roman road and beautiful landscapes such as waterfalls, lakes and valleys. Also, visitor will have around an hour to have lunch at Gerês Village at a traditional restaurant (not included)
