The tour also explores Mossel Bay’s harbour and working port's history, highlighting their important role in maritime exploration, trade, fishing, tourism, and the growth of the town. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the bay and discover how Mossel Bay developed from an early place of contact and settlement into the vibrant coastal destination it is today.

Cape St Blaize Lighthouse
Enjoy beautiful views of the historic Cape St Blaize Lighthouse, proudly overlooking the Indian Ocean from the rugged cliffs above the town. Built in 1864, the lighthouse has guided ships along this challenging stretch of coastline for more than 160 years and remains an important symbol of Mossel Bay’s maritime heritage.
Admire the lighthouse and learn about its history, its vital role in helping to protect passing vessels, and the spectacular coastal landscape that surrounds it.
The experience continues with a walk up to the fascinating Cape St Blaize Cave, located beneath the cliffs along the famous St Blaize Trail. These ancient caves are internationally recognised for their archaeological importance and provide evidence of early human occupation dating back thousands of years.
Visit the War Memorial, where homage is paid to the local men who lost their lives in WW1 and WW2.
