Rice Tray Viewpoint Mâm Xôi
Mâm Xôi Hill is the most famous and photographed viewpoint in Mù Cang Chải — a true masterpiece of nature and human creativity. Shaped like a giant round tray of sticky rice (“mâm xôi” in Vietnamese), the terraced fields curve perfectly along the hillside, creating a breathtaking spiral pattern unlike anywhere else in Vietnam.
From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of La Pán Tẩn’s golden rice terraces, especially stunning during harvest season when the fields glow in vibrant shades of yellow and green. Local H’mong farmers still cultivate these terraces by hand, preserving traditions that have shaped this landscape for centuries.
