We'll walk along the lovely pedestrianised North Quay taking in the marina, market halls and historic houses, pubs and warehouses. We'll enter the Victorian Steam Railway station and learn about how these trains transformed the lives of visitors and residents alike. We'll see the original rolling stock which is lovingly maintained throughout the winter months.

St George's Church
We'll stroll along Atholl Street, now centre of the Island's business district but formerly high class Regency style residential homes. We'll turn into St George's Church where eminent Manx residents are buried and visit the grave (amongst others) of Sir William Hillary, founder of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Tynwald - Parliament Of The Isle Of Man
Now we come to the building which now houses the Island's parliament, the Tynwald. We'll admire the elegant entrance and the former Bank of Mona building we have now nick-named 'the wedding cake'. We'll learn about the Island's unique political system and note that the Island was the first place to give votes for women in 1881.

Bee Gees Statue
We'll walking down the historic Victoria Street, passing the grand and beautiful Isle of Man Bank building and through the shopping streets to the Loch Promenade. There we'll meet the Bee Gees (in statue form) strolling back to their home town. We'll explore the Marine Gardens sheltering visitors and residents alike and admire the Michael Sandler statue depicting the lifeboatmen rescuing the sailors from the wreck of the St George in 1830.
