Itinerary
1
Nishinomiya Shrine
The first stop on the tour is Nishinomiya Shrine. The town of Nishinomiya is located on the main highway connecting Kyoto to the western part of Japan and also has a harbor, which has made it a busy place where people and goods have gathered since ancient times, and where people visit the shrine to pray.
The shrine also became a spiritual center for sake brewers, as rice and other raw materials for sake were readily available and sake could be sold by ship to various destinations.

酒ミュージアム(白鹿記念酒造博物館) 酒蔵館
Before enjoying sake comparison, let's first learn about the culture and history of sake and how it is made.
This museum is operated by the historic sake brewery “ Hakushika,” and is housed in an actual sake brewery that was used as an exhibition hall.
In the exhibition halls, sake brewing tools are displayed in the order of brewing, making it easy to learn about sake.
Sake becomes more enjoyable with knowledge! Ask your guide a variety of questions.

Hakushika Classics
Now it is time to start the drinking comparison! The first stop is the Hakushika store next to the museum. Here you can taste the historic Hakushika sake.
Shiroshika sake is described as having an excellent balance of sourness and sweetness. Compare various brands to find your own favorite one!

Hakutakarokusuien
The next stop is Hakutaka. This sake, with its characteristic sharp taste, has many fans.
It is impressive that many brands of sake, such as “ Hakutaka” and “ Hakushika,” have “white” in their name, which is said to express their clean taste and clear color.

Sakagura Dori Rengakan
The last sake brewery we will visit on this tour is Nihonsakari. Established about 130 years ago, the company is known as a “young” sake brewery, while many of the surrounding breweries have a history of 200 to 300 years or more.
However, because of its young constitution, the company is known for its various new initiatives, most notably its bottled sake in cans, which is well received as a way to enjoy sake anywhere.
The sake is known for its aromatic and refreshing taste.
