The winter ascent to Skolio peak (2,909m.), the second highest and one of the most imposing peaks of Mt. Olympus and Greece, is definately a unique experience! In winter time, Mt. Olympus is full of snow even at its lower altitudes, giving us an amazing color contrast with the white of the snow dominating most of the mountain. For the winter ascent to Skolio peak, we start from the Mountain Ski Race Training Center (KEOACH) of the Greek Army parking lot (1.800m.).
