visit to Marundeeswarar Temple. This 1200-year-old temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, displaying the striking Dravidian-style (a South Indian style Hindu temple architecture) architecture.
You will see locals visiting the temple to praise the temple deity, Marundeeswarar Lingam, which is said to have formed naturally and not sculpted by human hands. Listen to your guide as he/she shares with you the stories and legend behind this historic, spiritual place, which is believed to hold magical healing powers, curing believers of illness and disease. No wonder this temple is a famous worship place for people with diseases and health problems.

Cholamandal Artists' Village
Cholamandal Artists’ Village, the largest artist’s commune in India. The artists living here run the Artists Handicrafts Association that organizes for the showcasing of the work in many galleries around the country and even abroad, making it a self-supporting entity. The village was associated with Madras Movement of Art as well which brought modernism to the art in South India.
