Cusco – Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Amantani homestay

Lake Titicaca
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the main bus station (Terminal Terrestre Cusco) at 9:00 PM. Ready for the 10 PM departure to Puno. The overnight Journey lasts for about 8 hours, arriving in Puno around 5:00 AM. Upon arrival, you will have someone waiting for you and take to you at our office in Puno until tour begin, free time to buy your breakfast in one of the local restaurants or at our office.
We meet again at 7.45 AM and get on our Motor boat to the world-famous floating islands of the Uros people. We will take a guided tour of these reed islands and learn about their history and culture with the help of a knowledgeable local guide.
At 10.30 AM we get back on our ferry and cruise the highest navigable lake in the world to reach the Island of Amantani. You arrive there at around 1.30 PM and you will meet and greet your host family upon arrival. They will show you your place for the night and after this they will serve you a typical lunch prepared with natural ingredients. In the afternoon you will spend time altogether with them sharing stories and taking part in intercultural activities and games. You can also decide to take a 1-hour uphill hike to the temple of Pachatata viewpoint to enjoy spectacular views of the sunset over the lake. Dinner will be served at around 7 PM at the local house. In the evening you can join in group performances with dances and music. Overnight on the island.
