About
Akurala has been the main area in Sri Lanka for lime stones back in 1940s. Lime stone mining has been the main occupation of the villagers for decades and those pits have been left for decades and they've become water reservoirs which are covered by mangroves. This has become a habitat for a huge range of wildlife including rare species of birds, water monitors, bats and many more.
This provides you a tranquil atmosphere while you kayak on serene waters through greenish mangroves.
You will have the opportunity to stay right under a running train while kayaking. This kayaking event added with tranquility, fun and a bit of adventure would give you the best kayaking experience in Sri Lanka.
