About
Excursion to the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park, led by a professional mountain guide. Journey through the Vega del Toro, with observation of the traditional ways of life of the area. Later we will ascend to Lake Moñetas, in the central massif of Picos de Europa. Along the way there will be various rest stops, as well as a lunch stop. There are no water or food supply points along the way.

Day trip and trekking in Picos de Europa, to Lake Moñetas, from the surroundings of the Sotres curvona. The proposed route consists of a one-day excursion into the central massif of Picos de Europa. We start from the Sotres plain, very close to the famous town, one of the most characteristic of PIcos de Europa. In the first section of the route, we will travel through a part of the Sotres plain, and then take a detour to face a path with a constant climb, but not excessively hard at any point. During the route, we will go from pastures for livestock to a progressive absence of vegetation, until we reach a completely rocky environment.
