Egypt 1 offers a lot packed into a short approach and exit. Those with high skill levels can downclimb the entire canyon. Others will do 3 short rappels. The narrows are quite good, and the challenges just hard enough to keep it interesting. With competent leadership, this is a great family or beginner friendly canyon. The downclimbs yield fairly easily to team work and partner catches / assists. Though this canyon can hold a bit of water at times after very heavy rains.
Tours are conditional to weather. Being on time is imperative. We are on MST and an hour different than Las Vegas and Arizona. If you are more than 15 late we may have to leave without you.

Meet our guide at Canyon Country Lodge and begin your journey. You will then drive down Hole In the Rock Road to the Egypt Canyon Trailhead. You will then spend 2 hours hiking and canyoneering through this amazing slot canyon. After arriving back at your vehicle you make the drive back to meeting point in Escalante.
