We will visit Teotitlán del Valle where you will learn the weaving process of a wool rug using natural dyes and the women´s role throughout the process. We'll also see the elaboration of the bee's wax candles and how they're kept alive in their native traditions. Later we'll stop for lunch in the Tlacolula Market. Then we'll visit San Marcos Tlapaz...

Teotitlan del Valle
Learn of the natural dying and weaving process from different native families around the valley as well as about the bee’s wax candles. You will see the natural and organic ingredients they use to obtain a big variety of colors and as well as the fibers they use to make their incredible designs in rugs. And the story of why the shell candles are still a part of the identity of the Zapotec heritage in this little town.

San Marcos Tlapazola
We’ll visit the female cooperative of Las Mujeres del Barro rojo who narrate their story and show us the process of elaboration of the red clay using simple local ingredients.
