Girona Art Museum
The Girona Art Museum offers an extensive tour of Catalan art, mostly from the Girona regions. A walk through nearly 1,000 years of art with exceptional works from the Romanesque to the present day and in a unique architectural environment steeped in history, the old Episcopal Palace of the city.
Located in one of the most notable buildings in the old town of Girona: the old Episcopal Palace, listed as a Historic-Artistic Site. Its collections of Romanesque and Gothic art stand out (with large altarpieces such as the one in Púbol or Cruïlles) and also of the Renaissance (the altarpieces attributed to Joan de Burguña or Pere Mates stand out) as well as works of Catalan painting and sculpture from the centuries XIX and XX (with works by Miquel Blay, the Vayreda brothers, Santiago Rusiñol, among others). From October 22 to February 26, 2023 you can enjoy the temporary exhibition "Feresa de silenci. Les artistes a la revista Feminal (1907-1917)".
