First, we will drive to Aconcagua National Park, near the Chilean border, in private transport, enjoying the mountain views and small villages of the central Andes on the way. We will stop briefly at Puente del Inca, a remarkable 70-ft-long natural rock bridge that crosses the Cuevas River and from which drip ribbons of bright yellow rock created by local sulfur deposits.
When we arrive at the National Park we will be on the same path as the Mountaineers, as we hike in towards the spectacular sight of Aconcagua.
