Guests will walk along the iconic travertine terraces, shaped by mineral-rich hot water that creates constantly changing formations and vibrant colors.
This area is also one of the best places in the park to view wildlife. Travelers will have excellent opportunities to observe elk, often seen roaming right through the historic Mammoth area, along with bison, pronghorn, and a variety of bird species. With some luck, we may also spot predators such as wolves or coyotes in the surrounding Northern Range.
Throughout the experience, your guide will share insights into the geology of the hot springs, the behavior of the wildlife, and the rich history of Fort Yellowstone.
