Meet your guide in central Tromsø and travel by comfortable minibus while learning about the night’s weather, route, and chances of seeing the Northern Lights. Along the way, your guide shares insights about the aurora, local history, climate, and wildlife, constantly monitoring forecasts to find the best viewing spot—even if it means driving into Finland. At the chosen location, enjoy hot chocolate, light snacks, and the Arctic scenery. We aim to light a bonfire when conditions allow, and thermal suits are available if you get cold. When the Northern Lights appear, your guide—also a professional photographer—will take high-quality photos of you to remember the experience. If needed, we may move between locations to find clear skies. After the tour, you’ll be returned to Tromsø and dropped off at your hotel or accommodation.

Experience the untamed beauty of the Arctic wilderness! Northern Norway will surprise you with its unique landscape of fjords, mountains, beaches and picturesque villages. During this roundt trip of Kvaløya island, we take care of the full package: pictures of you and the landscape, local pastries, hot beverages, a knowledgeable guide and a driver that will show you the most beautiful spots in the area. We will stop at Ersfjordbotn and Sommarøy to show you as much as possible during the tour. These breaks are also an excellent opportunity for spotting wildlife, like reindeer and sea eagles. Please note that animal sighting is never guaranteed. To keep you warm and comfortable while outside, we provide thermal suits and boots. To ensure that you have the perfect souvenir from your tour, your guide will send you the photos free of charge the following day. Hop in the minibus with us and enjoy the beauty of the Arctic!

Wondering Reindeer is Sami reindeer experience company ho is offering guests authentic Sami adventures. We offer guests a small group tour (22 pers) around Kvaløya island with majestic mountains and arctic fjords. During the trip around the island, guests will join Sami reindeer herder and his reindeers when he feed the magnificent animals. When the herd is gathered, there will be an opportunity to feed the animals by hand. Guests will also be gathering in traditional Sami lavvo (Sami tent) around open bonfire to enjoy Joik (traditional Sami songs) and learn more about Sami traditions. During the roundtrip we will visit Sommarøy Arctic Hotel for lunch/meal made of local ingredients. Sommrøy is a fantastic place and a group of islands in the open sea 1,5 hours driving from Tromsø. Guests will have time to explore Sommrøy by walking around before we leave the fishing community.

- We often see reindeers during this trip, even thought we cannot guarantee it, as we will find them randomly on the wilderness. - You can choose to add a meal during checkin - it will be served at a local Norwegian restaurant in the island of Sommarøy - A great sightseeing road trip from Tromsø to experience the raw, wild nature of Northern Norway. - This is your chance to discover what makes this region unique, including the stunning Arctic fjords, the dramatic coastline, and even a rare sandy beach, often dusted with snow. Your local guide will lead you through Tromsø's wilderness to the very best photo stops, sharing fascinating stories about the local history and culture that make this destination so memorable. To provide a personal experience, we aim to travel in small groups of 8-15 guests by minibus. However, please note that during the peak high-season, we may occasionally run with two groups together on a comfortable, larger coach to accommodate demand.
