This is the original Alumni Tour™ — the first of its kind and the most professional experience in the city. Our tours are led by Cambridge students and graduates who combine genuine personal experience with a deep knowledge of the city’s history and architecture. The 90-minute tour includes iconic landmarks like the Corpus Clock, the Mathematical Bridge, and King’s College from the iconic Backs. The tour is entirely outdoors, focusing on Cambridge’s historic streets, squares, and college exteriors. If selected when booking, your experience can be enriched after the walking tour ends with a visit to King’s College Chapel, the absolute crown jewel of English Gothic architecture. You’ll pass through quiet college lanes and back lawns where Isaac Newton revolutionised physics, Charles Darwin developed his theories, and where Stephen Hawking studied and found inspiration. Enter King’s College! Established by King Henry VI, with successive King’s providing more ambitious additions (hence the name). The chapel has the largest vaulted ceiling in the world and even a Rubens, once the most expensive painting ever purchased. It is easy to see why numerous Kings and Queens have visited, and why your visit cannot be complete without entering! This tour will introduce you to the crucial role of Cambridge in world history and highlight the city’s architectural wonders, with our University guides. On top of this, the tour will enter King’s College! Sites covered include the oldest church in Cambridge (1033), the oldest College (1284) and the laboratory famous for the discovery of DNA. Along with Cambridge landmarks such as the Mathematical Bridge and Senate house where graduation has been held for the past 300 years. Additionally, our student guides will share their experiences of the college system and let you into local secrets.

This tour gives you a unique chance to see Cambridge both on foot and from the water, all in one visit. Enjoy a complete Cambridge experience by combining our 90-minute student-or graduate-led college walking tour with a 45-minute chauffeured punting trip. The tour takes place outdoors. If you choose when booking, after the walking tour finishes, you can add a self-guided visit to King's College Chapel. Then, without needing to arrange anything extra, you’ll board a traditional punt and glide along the peaceful River Cam. Passing the famous college college riverfronts and bridges, and you’ll see parts of Cambridge that most visitors dream of, when coming here. It’s a perfect way to enjoy both Cambridge’s rich academic heritage and its tranquil riverside scenery—all in one experience.
