This day trip takes you through the charming Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. You start your ascent with the new cable car, which will take you to the almost 3,000 meter high mountain peak in just ten minutes. After enjoying the exhilarating views over more than 400 peaks, you can explore the countryside on a short hike. For those who like things a bit faster, a toboggan hill is available on the eternal ice during the summer months. Toboggans can be borrowed free of charge. In the many restaurants (which also offer vegetarian and halal menus) you can indulge in culinary delights. The descent then takes place with the historic rack railway.

Join an unforgettable tour two of the most breathtaking sights of Bavaria – the Zugspitze & Eibsee – with our fully organized day trip, that includes minivan transfer, english-speaking hiking guide and small, international groups. We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Munich at 9 AM in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. We go straight to Garmisch-Patenkirchen in 1.5-hour drive by minivan where we head up to Zugspitze by a modern cable car in just 10 minutes. You'll have enough time to enjoy the view and have lunch on the highest beer garden of Germany. In the afternoon you can choose one of the following activities at lake Eibsee: - Hiking: - Stand-Up Paddling (additional cost: 20 € per hour) - Boat Rental: rowing boat (additional cost: 18 € per hour) or pedal boat (additional cost: 21 € per hour) - Swimming - Relax at the lake-side terrace Latest at 4:00 PM, we’ll head back to Munich.
