Assateague Island
Your tour will start at the southern end of Chincoteague, seeking wild Dolphin, Eagles, Osprey as we make the way to Assateague Island in search of the Wild Assateague Ponies. The captains are adept at navigating the shallow tidal waters with the shallow draft pontoon boat, allowing passengers to get as close as possible to the Wild Assateague Ponies. The ponies have full range of the Island, so we will check multiple locations for the best possible viewing. Along the way, your local guides will provide background on the history of the island in a conversational informative manner. Feel free to bring a cooler with any wine, beer or other beverages to enjoy along the way. Light jackets are recommended as it can get chilly on some summer evenings.
