The Sanctuary of Fatima, officially called the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, is a Marian sanctuary located in Fatima, Portugal. It is an important place of Catholic pilgrimage that preserves the memory of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917 to three pastoral children: Lucía dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto. The sanctuary includes several religious buildings and structures, such as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Lausperene Chapel and a monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
