Udawalawe National Park
In Sri Lanka, it is a wilderness area and an essential habitat for waterfowl and elephants. It was designated a national park in 1972 to preserve catchment regions and establish a refuge. It is situated on the border of the provinces of Uwa and Sabaragamuwa. Numerous elephants, sloth bears, and other wildlife may be seen in Udawalawe, as well as other bird species. The Udawalawe Dam is a large irrigation dam in Udawalawe, in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The dam consists of an embankment section and a gravity section, combining the total dam length to approximately 3.9 km (2.4 mi). The dam is also used for hydroelectric power generation, powering three 2 MW units, commissioned in April 1969. And on your way you may get to see many interesting places just pass by
