Piazza Trilussa
You will meet your guide in piazza Trilussa and your tour will start! The Trastevere district in Rome is often referred to as the city's equivalent of Greenwich village, while the Jewish ghetto was the first such district to be established in Europe. Here you will can truly absorb the feeling and cultures of centuries past.
You will be taken through the maze of narrow alleyways which give Trastevere much of its charm, and which may well be the only part of the city which has escaped Baroque renovations or Fascist demolitions.

Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere
he district is packed with quaint little shops, fantastic restaurants and churches dating back to the middle ages. This is the place to go if you would like to try authentic local cuisine, it's where the Romans go too!
Your highly qualified top rated guide will show you the medieval Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the oldest and prettiest churches in the city. After that, you will cross the Sistine Bridge to Tiber Island and take a stroll among its beautiful old squares.
