The Native Expedition Through The Guajira Desert
About
This expedition is the authentic connection we create between the traveler, the land, and its people. This is not a massive or rushed tour: it is a private experience, guided by a native of the region who shares with us not only the Wayuu history and culture, but also the daily life of the desert, its unique biodiversity, and the most remote and tranquil landscapes of La Guajira. We avoid crowded routes, stay in uncrowded places, and travel without haste, but with intention. Our mission is for each visitor to feel part of the territory, not just as a spectator, but as an honored guest.

¡SUNSET IN CABO DE LA VELA!
1 Stop
1
Cabo de La Vela
Early in the morning (4:30) we'll take the vehicle that will take us to Riohacha (Guajira capital) where we'll have breakfast, then change to a 4x4 vehicle to go to Cabo De La Vela, it will be approximately 5 hours of drive since we'll make a stop in the middle to learn about the artisanal extraction of sea salt. Once in Cabo De La Vela and after settling into the accommodation, we'll take a walk along the calm and blue beaches walking along the coastline of the Cape and the town. We will look for the most appropriate place to have lunch, in front of the beach, enjoying the landscape and then we will get back on the vehicle to visit three of the most characteristic sectors of this town but that are several kilometers apart from each other. The Sugar Pilon, The Eye of Water and The Lighthouse, taking even more our time in the latter to watch the sunset! We will have dinner and learn about Wayuu culture (the native culture majority on this peninsula) in an evening talk.
