Pass through the formal entrance to the palace, the Naubat Khana, or Drum House. It was here that musicians would play five times a day to announce the time and the arrival of the emperor or other royalty. Witness the spot where the emperor connected with his people. In this grand hall, Emperor Shah Jahan would sit upon an ornate marble throne canopy to hear the petitions of his subjects.
