Park and National Palace of Pena
The Palácio da Pena is a whimsical 19th-century Romanticist castle perched atop a hill in Sintra, Portugal. Known for its vibrant colors, eclectic architecture, and stunning hilltop views, it is a prominent national monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was also the first Romantic palace built in Europe. Gardens visit only included with your tour. Cabo da Roca
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, located on the Atlantic coast of Portugal within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. This rugged, windswept headland features dramatic cliffs rising about 140 meters above the sea. Historically, it was believed to be "where the land ends and the sea begins," as famously described by Portuguese poet Luís de Camões.
Cabo da Roca is great for its stunning, dramatic scenery as the westernmost point of mainland Europe, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, especially at sunset. Visitors can enjoy scenic viewpoints, unique hiking trails along the rugged cliffs, a historic lighthouse, and a sense of awe at the "edge of the world". It also provides a historically significant site and a chance to see unique flora like the Hottentot fig.
