Itinerary
1. Learn about the history and see how matcha is made First, you’ll hear a short explanation of the history of tea in Japan. You’ll also see how matcha is made using a traditional stone mill.
2. Watch a traditional tea ceremony and enjoy sweets Next, a tea ceremony master will perform the traditional tea-making ritual, which has a history of over 500 years. You’ll then enjoy the freshly prepared matcha along with nerikiri, a traditional Japanese sweet.
3. Make your own matcha Finally, you’ll have the chance to make your own bowl of matcha using traditional tools. You can also choose your favorite tea bowl from a variety of beautiful chawan (matcha bowls).
