Set sail on a 3-hour journey through Penobscot Bay, where participants dive into the coastal ecology of Maine with a science educator from Herring Gut Coastal Science Center. The adventure begins in Rockland Harbor and takes you past iconic landmarks like Owl’s Head Lighthouse, exploring diverse marine environments. Kids and adults alike can engage in hands-on science activities, including plankton tows and using oceanographic equipment, while an onboard microscope offers a closer look at the Bay's microscopic life. Morning sails provide calm waters, ideal for spotting wildlife such as seals, porpoises, and seabirds.
