Bistrik
Emperor's Bridge & Isa Bey's Hamam
Walk across the Emperor's Bridge to the city's oldest Hamam (Turkish bath). Legend says this was the ultimate luxury of the 15th century, where a secret underground channel connected the bath to the mosque for the Sultan's ritual purity. Today, it stands as a symbol of the 'Golden Age' when Sarajevo was the most modern city in the Balkans.

Old Orthodox Church (Stara pravoslavna crkva)
One of the world's oldest Orthodox churches with a clever legend. To get permission to build it, locals were told the church could only be as large as a single ox hide. They ingeniously cut the skin into one long, thin strip, circling this entire plot of land to outsmart the rules!

Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures (East Meets West)
Description:
"Stand on the exact line where two worlds collide. To your east, you’ll see the narrow Ottoman streets of the 15th century; to your west, the grand Austro-Hungarian architecture of the 19th century. It is the ultimate 'time machine' spot that proves why Sarajevo is the place where East and West don't just meet—they live together."

Pijaca Markale
Visit the city's main open-air market, a place that remained the pulse of Sarajevo even during the 1,425 days of the siege. We pay our respects at the site of two tragic massacres (1994-1995) and see the 'Sarajevo Rose'—a memorial in the asphalt that honors the victims and symbolizes the city's unbreakable spirit and will to survive.
