Itinerary
1
Fairview Wine and Cheese
We first drive to Paarl, where you not only make great wine, but also excellent cheese. Mighty billy goats with curved horns are also an attraction.
50 minutes
2
Franschhoek
We continue to the picturesque town of Franschhoek. The town was founded by French Huguenots in 1688, and its influences can still be found today.
30 minutes
3
Huguenot Memorial Museum
After a stroll in the town center, possibly combined with a short visit to the many pretty cafes and the Huguenot monument, we continue.
10 minutes
4
Zorgvliet Wine Estate
The second wine tasting awaits, where we learn all sorts of interesting facts about a real original in the area.
40 minutes
5
Stellenbosch
On the way back we can still drive through the university town of Stellenbosch, which is also called the “oak city”. On a short walk through the village street lined with old oaks, we learn something about the local history and let the day end.
30 minutes
6
Moederkerk
When the doors of the Dutch reformed "Moederkerk" in Stellenbosch are open, let's take a look inside. The church has elaborate window mosaics that are worth a photo.
