Your private tour begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounding areas, typically around 9:00am, with flexibility to suit your schedule.
From there, we ease into the day with a brief city orientation drive through Cape Town’s historic centre, passing key landmarks and notable buildings, offering a sense of the city before the journey unfolds along the peninsula.
This is where the experience begins to shift, from city streets to coastal beauty, as we make our way toward the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach Penguin Colony.

Cap supérieur
Your first stop is the vibrant Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter), one of Cape Town’s most iconic and culturally rich neighbourhoods.
Stroll through the colourful streets and capture photos of the famous houses that have become a symbol of Cape Town’s heritage. Beyond the visuals, this area carries deep historical and cultural significance.
Your guide will share local insight into the Cape Malay community, the meaning behind the brightly painted homes, and the history that shaped this unique part of the city. If you’re lucky, you may even have a chance to greet some of the locals and experience the area’s warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Chapman's Peak Drive
Departing from Hout Bay, the journey begins to shift as you drive onto one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, Chapman’s Peak Drive (weather permitting).
Carved into the mountainside, this stretch of road winds above the ocean, with dramatic cliffs on one side and endless blue on the other. It’s one of those moments where you slow down without needing to be told.
We’ll stop at one of the scenic viewpoints overlooking Hout Bay, where the mountains wrap around the bay, and the views open up in every direction.
And just when you think it couldn’t get better, a small surprise awaits. Take a moment, glass of bubbly in hand, and simply take it all in, the stillness, the scale, the kind of view that stays with you long after.
Make sure your camera is ready, but also take a second to just be there.

Village agricole de Noordhoek
We continue along the coastline toward Noordhoek, where the road opens up to reveal sweeping views over the valley and the long, untouched stretch of beach below.
There’s an optional stop here, not because you have to, but because it feels right. Over here, you step into a relaxed village setting where you can enjoy one of Cape Town’s finest locally roasted coffees, browse small independent shops filled with handcrafted pieces, locally made goods, and unique souvenirs, and even explore fresh farm produce and artisanal treats.
One of the quiet highlights here is seeing the horses moving gently through the village, a simple, grounded moment that feels far removed from the usual tourist experience. And just beyond, if you look out toward the coastline, you may also catch a glimpse of horses along the wide, open beach below, adding to the sense of space and calm that defines this part of the journey.
It’s a gentle pause in the day, unhurried, personal, and unexpectedly memorable.

Cap de Bonne-Espérance
You’ll arrive at the Cape Point / Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, one of the most iconic points along the Cape Peninsula.
As we continue through the reserve, you’ll also pass the historic monuments of Dias and Vasco da Gama, visible along the route and adding depth to the story of this coastline. From here, we make our way up to Cape Point, where the highlight awaits. Take a moment to capture that well-known photo at the Cape of Good Hope sign, a special highlight!
Standing at the lighthouse, you’re met with sweeping panoramic views across the Cape Peninsula, with both the Atlantic Ocean and False Bay visible on a clear day. It’s one of those viewpoints that truly puts everything into perspective.
Along the drive through the reserve, keep an eye out for wildlife that roam freely in this natural environment, including baboons, zebra, eland, various antelope species, ostriches, and a variety of birdlife, and more
It’s a landscape that feels wild, open, and completely unfiltered.

Vieux phare de Cape Point
From the Cape of Good Hope you will drive to Cape Point. Arriving at Cape Point you will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse (if in operation). Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.

Colonie de pingouins de Boulders Beach
Your next stop brings you to Boulders Beach, home to Cape Town’s most famous residents, the African penguins.
From the viewing decks, you’ll watch them at close range as they move between the rocks, swim through the clear waters, and go about their day completely undisturbed. There’s something quietly special about this moment, simple, real, and unexpectedly moving.
As you continue along the boardwalk, you may even find one or two of these curious little characters waddling nearby, a reminder of how close you are to nature here.
For those wanting a more personal experience, a short walk takes you to a sheltered beach where, depending on the day, you may have the opportunity to swim in the same waters as the penguins.
It’s not just a highlight of the tour, for many, it becomes a highlight of their entire visit to Cape Town.

La ville de Simon
We’ll pause for lunch in Simon’s Town, where the pace naturally slows and the ocean is never far from view.
Settle into one of the seaside restaurants, where fresh, locally prepared dishes are served against a backdrop of the harbour and open water. It’s the kind of setting where you don’t feel rushed, where the conversation flows, the views hold your attention, and the moment feels easy.
Sea air, the gentle sound of the ocean, and plates of beautifully prepared food, simple things, done well.
It’s more than just a lunch stop, it’s a moment to sit back, take it all in, and savour the day as it unfolds.
