Some birders want to see birds. Others arrive in Monteverde with a target list.
Our Private Target Birding Expedition is designed for passionate birders and wildlife photographers who want to maximize their chances of finding specific species while exploring the extraordinary diversity of Monteverde and its surrounding habitats.
We start at 5:45 AM, when bird activity is at its peak. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, your guide builds the day around your target species, current sightings, seasonality, weather, elevation, fruiting trees, and local bird movement.
Depending on your targets, we may explore different habitats and elevations, adjusting the route throughout the morning to give you the best possible birding opportunities.
Expect an intimate, unhurried experience where we can spend time listening, tracking, observing behavior, photographing, and waiting for that special encounter—without the limitations of a conventional group tour.
