Tonle Sap Lake
Mechrey Floating Village is a traditional community of about 2,000 residents living on the northern edge of Tonle Sap Lake, located roughly 20 to 25 km (a 30-minute drive) southeast of Siem Reap, Cambodia. It serves as a quieter, less-crowded alternative to Chong Kneas, offering boat excursions past floating houses built on bamboo rafts or metal barrels, a floating school, local markets, a crocodile farm, and access points toward the Prek Toal bird sanctuary.

After 1 hour on the cruise boat from Mechrey Floating village then we will arrive at the Prek Toal floating village—one of the lake's largest floating communities. Here, your main transport switches to small, quiet oar boats or specialized local park vessels to smoothly navigate the dense, flooded mangrove forests without startling the colonies.
