This tour includes an escape to two, lesser-known spots near Ocho Rios that will allow you to relax in exotic ways. Firewater Pond is found at the end of a winding, rutted road leading up to a secluded grotto. The pond is said to have healing properties due to the high concentration of minerals. But it’s the methane that seeps up into the water from the ground below that gives the pond its name.
The second stop, Bamboo Beach, offers loungers set up right at the ocean’s edge, where the water will lap at your toes. We will plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour at firewater pond, and two hours at the beach. With travel time, the entire excursion will require about 4 hours.

Firewater Mineral Healing Spring
I will pick you up at your requested meeting point (as long as it is in the general area of Ocho Rios). I'll have cold bottles water ready!
We will drive about 30 minutes to our destination, getting to know each other as we drive.
Once we arrive at the site parking area, I'll pay the entrance fees while you change clothes (if you weren't wearing your bathing suit when I picked you up). Then, for the next hour or so, you can immerse yourself in the soothing, naturally hot and bubbly water, "playing" in the flames when they shoot up. (And NO, you will not be burned.) If you pay the pond keeper a little extra, he will give you his signature, 15-minute leg- relaxation treatment, a wrap dipped in the magical waters.
Once you are relaxed and ready, buy a cold drink from the nearby stand, and we'll head to our next stop.
NOTE: Bring or wear a swimsuit, and also bring water shoes (optional) and a towel.

Bamboo
We'll drive about half an hour from Firewater Pond to a gem of a refuge, Bamboo Beach. Most beaches in the Ocho rios area are crowded, but Bamboo Beach is more "local"...You'll find a pristine spot to swim, sun, enjoy a bite to eat and a drink (both alcoholic or not) or buy Jamaican crafts.
We can stay an hour or a little more, then we'll drive back to our pick-up point!
