Framed by the region's signature limestone peaks and sub-alpine forest, this option focuses on glacial basin views – the ideal way to experience K-Country’s wilderness at a steady, observant pace. We’ll wander the mossy forest trails to the tiered cascades of Troll Falls or witness the churning glacial whitewater at Widowmaker along the Kananaskis River. The day's adventure takes us onto Highway 40, south towards Highwood Pass – the highest paved road in Canada at 2,206m. Single lane in each direction and much quieter than the main highway to Banff, the drive along the route is world-class – offering panoramic mountain views on all sides and frequent wildlife sightings.
