We walk around the delightful Downton Abbey village on the edge of the Cotswolds & visit St Mary’s Church, The Crawley house, Village Green & see where so many scenes were filmed in stunning Bampton.

IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED Highclere Castle tickets then you spend 2-3 hours taking in the magnificence of the actual present day Aristocratic Castle of Lord & Lady Canarvon. Visit the quaint hamlet of Shilton, which is the picture postcard location of where Mr Bates was brought back to Downton when the unsavoury murder charge was levelled at him by his wife. Complete with ford, gardens & architecture. this is a truly lovely stop.

We seek out the most romantic pub in The Cotswolds where Tom Branson & Lady Sybil eloped to❤️. Swinbrook is, in itself, a lovely village & we can visit the pub and gardens too, for a an ale, wine or coffee.

In addition to the Downton experience, we also visit/drive through the outstanding natural beauty of The Cotswolds in whatever time is left over. This normally includes an hour for lunch if required.
