Shinkyo Bridge
This vermillion-colored Shinkyo Bridge(sacred bridge) is located at the entrance to Nikko Mountain. Being constructed around the 8th Century, Shinkyo had been the bridge only for the emboys of Imerial Court, Shoguns and priests. It is just gorgeous and magnificent. US president Ulysses Grant was offered to cross this bridge when he was here, but he cordially declined the offer , saying it was too sacred for him.
