The Historic Center, with about 200 hectares, is formed by the oldest residential area. Here we find a great number of buildings of colonial style and Republican of great beauty; the archaeological zone; the artisan neighborhoods (of colonial origin); the central markets; the Tomebamba Ravine with Paseo 3 de Noviembre and several places of cultural and scenic importance that show the reason for the declaration as a city Cultural Heritage.
