Bodrum Castle, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, was constructed by the Knights of St. John in the early 15th century. During the Ottoman era, a mosque was added to the complex, reflecting the region's rich cultural heritage. Located within Bodrum Castle, the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology is recognized as one of the world's leading museums dedicated to underwater heritage.
