Continuing on, we’ll pass through the impressive OAKA (Olympic Athletic Center of Athens), the venue that hosted the 2004 Olympic Games. The grand finale of our Olympic Legacy Tour is a visit to the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as the Kallimarmaro. This historic stadium, made entirely of white marble, was the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and remains one of the most iconic landmarks in Olympic history. Walk in the footsteps of the world’s greatest athletes and imagine the energy of the Games that began here over a century ago. In the Atrium of Kallimarmaros there is also a permanent exhibition of Olympic Games torches and posters from 1896 to the present day.
