We begin your expedition very early with a 4:30 AM pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco. We start your journey through the majestic Andes Mountains. We then make a brief stop in Paucartambo, known as the folkloric capital of Cusco. Here we will have breakfast and then a short tour. Afterward, we continue your route to the entrance of Manu National Park, one of the most protected natural areas in South America. We will continue our descent through the cloud forest. During the trip, we will make several stops to observe various bird species such as trogons, quetzals, tanagers, and oropendolas, and we have the opportunity to spot the woolly monkey. We will have lunch en route and eventually arrive at the home of Peru's exotic national bird: the Andean cock-of-the-rock. For your first night, we will stay at Bambu Lodge, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM.
