In 1462, a new style of flower arrangement created in Kyoto was admired for its beauty and elegance. Unlike traditional flower offerings made for religious purposes, it was designed to express harmony between nature and the space created by and for people. This moment is considered the origin of ikebana, Japan’s unique art of flower arrangement.
Tondaya aims to offer a glimpse into the historically rich, beautiful, and intricate world of ikebana. During this experience, an ikebana master will guide you through the art of ikebana arrangement.
