Step into a semi-outdoor sanctuary in Arashiyama, just steps from the station. Unlike traditional indoor sessions, our workshop takes place on a sheltered sky terrace. Enjoy the seasonal breeze and open-air atmosphere while staying protected from the elements.
Begin with the traditional stone mill (Ishiusu). Grind raw tea leaves (Tencha) into a fine powder yourself. As you turn the mill, enjoy the soothing rhythmic sound and the incredible, fresh aroma released only at the moment of grinding—an experience store-bought matcha cannot match.
