Hikkaduwa is known for its beautiful beaches, water sports and coral reefs making it a much visited location in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka. However, there are lesser-known attractions in Hikkaduwa that are slowly gaining momentum along with the beach side activities including kayaking in inland waterways. The Rathgama Lake is a natural waterway that is located inland bordering lush greenery and calm surroundings with kayaking being a favoured activity.
