Itinerary
1
Kerid Crater
Kerið Volcano Crater is a volcanic crater lake. It's famous
from the stark contrast of colors - burgundy mineral sediment, dark lava rocks and bluish lake water - creating a naturally pleasing sight. Kerið's origins began almost 6,500 years ago in an eruption that was thought to be powerful, but when the magma emptied, the chamber collapsed, leaving a crater in the shape we see today.
30 minutes
2
Gullfoss Waterfall
Gullfoss Waterfall is a stunning waterfall fed by the waters of Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjökull. Its roaring cascade first cascades down a gentle slope for 11 meters before plunging deep into the canyon with a magnificent, sweeping 21-meter-high drop, creating an impressive, beautiful mist that lingers in the air, often creating a giant rainbow in the sun.
45 minutes
3
Geysir
The Geysir geothermal area is filled with steam vents, bubbling pits and sizzling ponds, with multi-colored spots scattered here and there. The main attraction of this place is the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts into the air to a height of 20 meters every 5-10 minutes. Another feature of this area are bubbling hot springs and steamy, muddy fields, creating a sulfurous smell.

Thingvellir
Thingvellir National Park (UNESCO protected)
It is one of the most famous places in Iceland and is of great importance in both the history and geology of Iceland.
In 930, the Vikings founded the world's first parliament here, which is still active today! As you follow the path, you walk between two divergent tectonic plates that host North America and Eurasia, respectively. The park is characterized by diverse scenery: a waterfall, a gorge, a panoramic viewpoint, a crevasse and the Þingvallakirkja church. The water at Thingvellir is crystal clear because it travels from the Langjökull glacier and passes through an underground lava field, considered the best natural filter in the world.
